Stories for children,

told by children

Meet the Creator of Little Story Tellers

Hi, I'm Luke, I'm 7 years old and I like telling stories.

Being home during the COVID-19 pandemic was tough. I missed seeing my friends the most and hearing them share stories whilst playing together as we would at school. I decided to start recording myself telling stories and asked my mom to help me share my stories with my friends and other children. I discovered how much I love telling stories especially ones that I make up myself. I’ve also been writing some stories too. Little Story Tellers is my idea to be able to help children around the world share stories with each other even when we can’t be together. It's a way of helping us not feel lonely. I hope you will love it as much as me. I’ve got my whole family doing this with me. I hope you will share your story with me and all our little story tellers.

FROM LUKE'S MOM:

Luke really missed seeing his friends during the pandemic and hearing the stories
they would share together at school. Little story tellers is his idea of helping children
everywhere feel connected and overcome loneliness through sharing their world
through stories.
Luke’s idea is based on the belief that story telling connects, comforts and offers
creative expression. It offered him an opportunity to not feel so alone and to feel as if
he was surrounded by friends. Stories cross every culture, man-made border and
language bringing children together from across the world to share their
understanding of the world through their stories in their own words. No matter what
story you wish to share, as long it is from the heart we look forward to hearing it.
Children love to listen to other children and the pandemic has taught us all how
valuable being together is and how much we miss it when it is suddenly taken away.
Story telling became a way for Luke to share something of himself with others when he
was feeling isolated whist shielding. Stories allow our little ones to share their
thoughts without fear of getting it wrong and a way to express their feelings in a
creative and free way. Stories connect us regardless of difference and
we hope that Little Story Tellers will connect all children no matter your circumstances or

where you are in the world.

STORY TELLING ALLOWS YOUR CHILD TO:

•    Ignite their creativity as they create a world beyond their own

•    Connect with others as they share and enjoy in children’s stories from diverse backgrounds and experiences

•    Build their confidence as they become a little story teller
